ASE-A
Overview
The ASE-A is an oil damped acceleration transducer for crash tests. It is suitable for measuring vibration of car bodies, components, and dummies.
Rated Capacity: ±980.7 to ±9807m/s²
Dimensions: 10 x 5 x 10mm
Rated Output: 0.5 mV/V or more (±980.7 m/s²), 1mV/V or more (±4903m/s²), 2 mV/V or more (±9807 m/s²)
Frequency Response (23ºC): DC to 1 kHz for all models (Sensitivity deviation ±3%), 1kHz to 2kHz for ASE-A-100 (Sensitivity deviation ±10%) (±980.7m/s²), 1 kHz to 4kHz for ASE-A-500/1K (Sensitivity deviation ±10%) (±4903m/s²)
Key Features
Compact & lightweight
Damped type ensures minimal influence of impact acceleration-initiated resonance.
Optional dedicated bracket enables mounting of the transducer to pedestrian protection head impactor
Remarks
*CE compliant models are available. Inquiries are welcome.
To Ensure Safe Usage
When conducting the Pedestrian Head Protection Performance Test, ground the aluminum skull(Metal) portion of the head impactor and the DIS series. The grounding is an effective measure against noise caused by electric charge. The charge is generated between the head skin material and aluminum skull of the head impactor resulting to adversely affect the ASE-A output at the time of impact.
Due to mounting holes, corners of the transducer case is thin-walled structure. Avoid dropping or hitting against a hard matter. Or the case will be deformed or damaged.
For installation, use dedicated bolts M1.6×8 and fix 2 diagonal positions.
If this transducer is installed by adhesives, excessive forces to remove it results in deformation of its frame or failure. To avoid these troubles, fix this transducer by dedicated
