Soft Motorcycle 360 is the motorcycle target with revolutionary realism
The Soft Motorcycle 360 from DRI is a durable and realistic surrogate motorcycle target that is stable at speeds of up to 80km/h. Its rotating wheels and realistic shape mean that it is reliably recognised by vehicle sensor systems including cameras, radar and lidar.
Market-leading rotating wheels
The Soft Motorcycle 360 is the most realistic motorcycle target available, future-proofing it against next-generation vehicle sensor systems. Unlike other solutions, it features rotating wheels which are not only important for camera and lidar systems but also provides a speed-matched doppler effect for radar sensors. This improves the realism of the target and makes it more reliably recognised and classified by vehicle sensors.
Reduced damage to test vehicles
The foam construction has been hollowed in specific areas to improve its compliance when hit by a test vehicle. It does this while maintaining the necessary stiffness for highly dynamic manoeuvres. The target’s hard points have also been minimised and feature handlebars with soft and flexible ends.
Enhanced durability and uptime
Modular construction means that assembly and reconstruction after an impact is quick and simple.

The Soft Motorcycle 360’s foam core is coated in an abrasion-resistant rubberised skin, which can be repaired in the field to optimise uptime. It also ensures that there is no exposed foam, which is highly susceptible to wear.
Setting the standard
The target complies with Euro NCAP 2023 and ISO 19206-5 draft requirements. Used with our LaunchPad 80 VRU platform, the target is capable of an 80km/h top speed, meaning it is suitable for testing to the new 2023 Euro NCAP car-to-motorcycle test scenarios.

The Soft Motorcycle 360 is designed and engineered by Dynamic Research, Inc (DRI) in California. For decades DRI has provided research and testing services for the world's leading OEMs, completing hundreds of tests per year, including FMVSS, NHTSA NCAP and Euro NCAP tests.
