Global standard test equipment
The Jurid compressibility test equipment is a world standard for the measurement of the compressibility, thermal transmission and thermal swell of disc brake pads. The compression properties of friction material strongly relate to low and high frequency brake noise and pedal feel, respectively. The compressibility correlates to other physical material properties like hardness and porosity. Therefore the equipment is widely used in R+D as well as for quality control serving reliable and precise results. The machines is the base for ISO 6310, the specification of compressibility measurement.
