Pedestrian Target System
Pedestrian Target
ABD's soft pedestrian target uses a flat belt propulsion system, thus not requiring an overhead gantry(in accordance with the EuroNCAP view that a gantry could interfere with the test result). This also result in a portable system which can be quickly installed on any test track.
Model |
Pedestrian Target |
Peak Pedestrian Velocity |
20Kph with 15kg payload(using SR60 motor) |
Peak Pedestrian Acceleration |
>1g with 15kg payload(using SR60 motor) |
Position Measurement Accuracy |
Uses steering robot motor encoder; accuracy at motor better than 0.01mm, typical dynamic accuracy at platform better than 2cm |
Installation |
Steering robot can be quickly coverted for use as pedestrian drive and back to steering robot. |
Crashworthiness |
Pedestrian detaches from platform; test vehicle can drive over platfrom and belt. |
